Each week of lectures I felt like I always had something on my heart that I was working through and processing with the Lord. The holy spirit was truly at work during lecture times. I can't even explain how the lecture phase process was for me there was always something going on, something new I was learning and applying. I feel like I really was able to gain so much in those times. I loved being able to then apply the things I was learning in my time in Korea and now being home. It was amazing getting new views and perspectives on things I have heard about over the years. I have so many notes from each of these topics so if anyone is every interested in any of these topics and would like to hear about some things that impacted me from that week feel free to reach out my Instagram and Facebook is linked in the top left corner of my page!
Here is a bit of what a week in the life during lecture phase looked like from my calendar's perspective:
The schedule was pretty packed, but I really liked that it was. It was so nice having a consistent schedule and being able to stay busy doing something completely focused on learning more about Christ. Each thing we did had a different purpose and it was amazing seeing how the Lord used these times from small group, intersession, open mic, Bible overview, worship and etc. There was even a weekend me and friends decided to do a Bible burn and we ready from Acts-Revelations on a random Sunday and just spent almost 12 hours soaking in his word. Being in this environment is such a unique experience, I loved all the random things we all decided to do with our free time it is truly unlike anything else.
I made so many friends during this time and it was amazing getting to be surround by people all with the same focus and getting to have strong conversations and hold each other accountable during that time.
One of my favorite things in my time at lecture phase was the worship. I absolutely love worship and it is one of the things when I really feel the most connected with Christ and I feel he is really speaking to me clearly. Just getting to spend time just fully focused on soaking in his presence and seeking what he wants for you is so refreshing. Being in this kind of setting is so cool because we are able to do what we feel the Lord is speaking to us in the time. So, we get the opportunity to pray over one another, dance around soaking in the joy of the Lord, cry (I did a lot of this), and just do whatever you feel the Lord is pushing you into. It is such a safe environment to step out in faith with no judgement.
Here are some videos from some of my favorite worship times!
I could truly make this blog so long sharing about everything that happened during lecture phase, but it was truly just a time of, learning, processing, worship, growth, friendships and so much more! I am so grateful for the time I got to spend with these people and the ability I had to get to be in Hawaii while experiencing all of this. This place truly did become my home in my time there and it will always have a special place in my heart reflecting back to everything that happened and all the people I met there. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to have this time with the support and love I got in this whole process. YWAM Kona thank you for being so good to me. I miss this time.
